Being brand spanking new to Second Life I thought it would be fun to document my adventures here. I read some other blogs when I was looking into joining Second Life and reading the blogs made the world seem a place I wanted to visit. On this blog I will share things I do, places I visit, what I am wearing and most likely random thoughts. My boyfriend Carus will also be sharing his thoughts here and there, when he finds something he would like to write about.
Before joining Second Life I heard it was a fun place but more involved and a bit more complicated then the other virtual world I had explored. Being somewhat technical challenged I held off on checking Second Life out. But Carus often talked about Second Life and all the different things available.
So, one day while discussing the game he mentioned a female avatar he had started awhile ago. He used her more as a “bot” to keep a club open (or something like that) and she wasn’t being used at all. He said if I was curious about Second Life to login in on her to at least get a feel for the game, look around, see what I thought.
So, I gave it a try
When I logged into this avatar, this is what I looked like.
I thought the outfit she is wearing is very cute, I love the straps and sparkles!
I am wearing the Patulas House Scarlett Top and Skirt ($149L). It comes in 40 colors and 3 metals. This was my very first outfit on Second Life and I thought it very pretty. However, the skirt looks a bit too big for me. Carus explained that I can adjust things and one day he will show me how.
- Belleza – Freya, Isis, Venus
- SLink – Hourglass, Physique
- Skirt also comes in TmP
Carus also told me I could change the outfit and that there were many at stores I could find and purchase. He also mentioned being able to change my look up to something that was more me. Changing the hair, the body, the makeup.
My Virtual World experience was forever changed! LOL I could buy so many cute clothes and outfits for her, and all the hairstyles, and makeup! I wanted to run and try everything. But I had to learn how to walk and move around my camera. Carus was there every step of the way and has been such a good teacher. I have been on this avatar he created a couple of years ago for two weeks now and I have a good grip on how to do things. I still struggle with the occasional camera angle or accidentally running into people (sorry), but every day I get better!
